FIELD DAY, MAY 15th

We are in need 5 gallon
water coolers and canopies for Field Day. If
parents have one or both of these items they can bring
to the gym as soon as possible this week. Be sure to put
your name on items so we can return to you!!!
Also, if you are available to help work at the
water stations and monitor the kids at the inflatables,
Coach Rogers needs around 10 parent volunteers. Please
let Alisha Remek know if you are available and she will
pass your name on to Coach Rogers. Coach will assign you
a station to work at on Friday morning so just check in
with him on Friday. |

What
is the difference between PTO and PTA?
PTO is an organization
autonomous and specific to Miller Elementary. We are not
connected to other schools or organizations. No dues are paid on
a local, state or national level. All decisions are made within
our school; no outside bylaws are dictating our board,
activities, or funds. PTA is a national organization, and a good
one, but one that requires local, state and national dues,
specific requirements for board positions, approvals for
projects, and so forth. PTO works best for the parents at Miller
Elementary at this time because we are in control of our funds and our dues
low. Parents have the final say in how to support our
students, staff, and school.
Silent/Live Auction and Chili
Cook-off Was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!
Thanks to all who participated
and helped out before, during and after this exciting event!!!
PTO raised about $4500. |
