CARNIVAL and LIVE AUCTION
10am - 2pm
(auction at 1:00)
Our
Carnival & Auction is quickly approaching! Please plan to attend
and support the PTO and the school. We have a lot of fun things
planned and we are collecting some great items for the Live and
Silent Auction.

NO TV THURSDAY
Every
Thursday of February is “No TV Thursday”
and activities are going on at the
school in the Gym and Café on Thursday
evening’s beginning at 6:30pm.
Since the school is open, PTO will be
selling the Game & Concession tickets
for the Carnival at the school on
Thursday evenings as well at from 6:30 –
7:30pm. We will sell $6.00 worth of
tickets for only $5.00. Drop by the
school next Thursday evening and
purchase your tickets to play the games
and buy concessions prior to the
Carnival. The day of the Carnival
tickets will be sold individually for 50
cents or $1.00.

for Miller Elementary!
Come with all your friends on on the SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH
MONTH. Simply tell your cashier that
you support Miller and drop the receipt in the Chick-fil-A Box.
20% of the ticketed net sales goes to our school.

What
is the difference between PTO and PTA?
PTO is an organization
autonomous and specific to Miller Elementary. We are not
connected to other schools or organizations. No dues are paid on
a local, state or national level. All decisions are made within
our school; no outside bylaws are dictating our board,
activities, or funds. PTA is a national organization, and a good
one, but one that requires local, state and national dues,
specific requirements for board positions, approvals for
projects, and so forth. PTO works best for the parents at Miller
Elementary at this time because we are in control of our funds and our dues
low. Parents have the final say in how to support our
students, staff, and school. |
